Nepal, Australia to establish joint consultative body

Canberra, July 14

Nepal and Australia have reached an agreement to establish a joint consultative body to facilitate government to government talks in the future.

Shanker Das Bairagi, Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who is on a visit to Australia and Aussie foreign ministry’s Deputy Secretary Garry Quinlan signed an agreement on the formation of the new body amid a programme in the Australian capital.

Nepal’s Ambassador to Australia Lucky Sherpa was also present during the signing. Ambassador Sherpa told Onlinekhabar that the signing marked the beginning of a new chapter in bilateral ties.
