Ncell partners with govt, UN for National Measles-Rubella Campaign

Kathmandu, February 14

Nepal’s one of the leading telecommunications companies, Ncell, says it is partnering with the Ministry of Health and Population and UNICEF for the National Measles-Rubella (MR) Campaign 2020.

Under this campaign, the government aims to immunise over three million children across the country between the age of nine months and five years.

The Family Welfare Division under the Department of Health Services is implementing the MR mass immunisation campaign in two phases. The first phase started on Thursday in provinces 1, 2 and 5, and it will last till March 13.

Likewise, the second phase of the campaign will start from March 14 in the other four provinces. The campaign will conclude on April 12.

“We are glad that Ncell has supported the government for this campaign to achieve 100 per cent success. We are grateful for the support and expect similar support in future as well,” said Dr Jhalak Sharma Gautam, chief of Child Health and Immunisation Service Section at the Family Welfare Division.
