Kathmandu, September 8

As the national population census has been rescheduled for November 11-25, the Central Bureau of Statistics says it will use tablets instead of paper forms in the counting in the Kathmandu district, making it paperless.

Other districts, however, will use the paper forms manually.

Meanwhile, the bureau made public the revised schedule of the decennial project amid a press meet in Kathmandu today.

Earlier, the bureau had scheduled to carry out the census from June 8 to 22. However, in May, it was postponed indefinitely owing to the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic affecting the entire country.
