Kathmandu, January 10
The decisions made during the Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday evening (January 7) have been made public. The meeting approved six key resolutions, including the extension of the tenure for four DIGs of the Armed Police Force.
The Cabinet also approved the agenda for discussions at the Nepal-India Inter-Governmental Committee meeting on trade and commerce, scheduled for Friday and Saturday. A negotiation team, led by the Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies, was formed to represent Nepal in the meeting.
Additionally, the meeting granted permission for State Minister for Forests and Environment, Rupa Bishwakarma, to attend a climate change-related program to be held in Rome, Italy, from end of February.
Another decision involved assigning Under Secretary Bishnu Prasad Sharma of the Ministry of Urban Development to serve as the Executive Director of the Special Structures Operation and Management Development Committee.
The Cabinet also decided to promote Acting Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and assign him to a post within the ministry.
