National Medical College, Birgunj, widely recognised as one of the leading medical institutions in Madhesh Province, has successfully achieved the internationally recognised ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) certification.
The ISO 9001:2015 certification was awarded after a comprehensive evaluation of the college’s management system, service delivery, and operational processes.
The certification covers a wide range of services, including medical care, clinical training, teaching hospital services, diagnostic and laboratory services, radiology, pharmacy, emergency services, blood bank, and other support services.
According to the hospital management, this achievement reflects the institution’s strong commitment to quality assurance, continuous improvement, and standardised operational practices.
The management further expressed that the certification will help in maintaining international standards, enhancing patient satisfaction, improving system efficiency, and strengthening process‑based and patient-centred service delivery.
Additionally, the certification is expected to contribute significantly to human resource development and the implementation of globally aligned healthcare systems.
Speaking on the occasion, Managing Director Shahnawaz Ansari said, “ISO 9001:2015 certification is not only an achievement for our hospital but also a reflection of our commitment to quality services, organised systems, and continuous improvement.”
