Narendra Modi to visit Nepal this month

Kathmandu, October 3

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Nepal, for the third time since he took charge of the office in May 2014, in the second or third week of October, say multiple sources.

Exact dates of the visit, however, have not been fixed yet. Foreign affairs ministries of both the countries are doing necessary homework to finalise the dates.

During the visit, Modi along with his Nepali counterpart Sher Bahadur Deuba will lay the foundation stone for the Arun III Hydropower Project being built with the investment of an Indian company.

PM’s foreign affairs advisor Dinesh Bhattarai says diplomatic efforts are underway to finalise Modi’s itinerary.

“Some technical issues are yet to be dealt with though it is already confirmed he is coming,” he informs.
