The health condition of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Narayan Kaji Shrestha has remained stable, informed doctors attending him.

A team of doctors with Dr Arun Maskey had started treating him at the Intensive Care Unit in the Bansbari-based Shahid Gangalal National Heart Center, the Ministry of Home Affairs said.

Shrestha underwent an angioplasty at the hospital.

Minister Shrestha was taken to the hospital on Tuesday afternoon for a regular health examination.

Earlier, Minster Shrestha underwent treatment after he suddenly complained of cardiac problems during his China visit in October.
