Biratnagar, September 30
A man has been found dead in the Sunbarshi municipality of the Morang district of eastern Nepal.
Ashok Kumar Yadav (32), a resident of Batarbari, Sunbarshi-4, was found dead around 1.5 km away from his house on Friday morning. He had left his home last night saying he had to perform some shamanistic duties, informs Chhediya Yadav, the ward chairman.
Whereas police have noticed an injury on his stomach, some locals have even claimed he was stabbed to death.
Police also recovered his motorbike (Province 1-02-044 Pa 3261) some 10 metres away from his body.
DSP Deepak Shrestha of the Morang District Police Office says the incident looks suspicious, hence the investigators are mobilising a team of sniffer dogs.
Meanwhile, the body has been sent to the Koshi Hospital in Biratnagar for autopsy.
