Mohan Baidhya seeks massive changes in Nepal Charter, says legwork on for new uprising

Mohan Baidhya, chair of CPN-Maoist Centre, said on Sunday the Constitution needs to undergo massive changes.

Baidhya, speaking at a press conference, said neither rewriting nor amendment in the Charter will be in the interest of Madheshi peoples.

Madheshi political parties have not been able to take their movement to a logical conclusion because the Parliament is more important to them than Madhesh’s interests. He said Madheshis should be aware of this.

Responding to a question, Baidhya ruled out the possibility of working together with Prachanda again.

‘There’s no possibility of working together with Prachanda again. Our party is gearing up for a new movement in Nepal.’

He said the present government (Prachanda-led government) will not be successful. Our party is gearing up for a new movement in Nepal, Baidhya said.
