Ministers visit flood-affected Tarai districts

Leaders visit a Tarai district after floods on Wednesday, July 17, 2019.

Kathmandu, July 17

Various ministers and a few leaders of the ruling Nepal Communist Party have visited various districts of Tarai to take stock of the situation after recent floods.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health Upendra Yadav, Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa, Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Raghubir Mahaseth and Ministers for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Barsha Man Pun visited various districts of Province 2 on Wednesday.

Former prime minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, State Minister for Agriculture Ram Kumari Chaudhary, Parliament’s Development Committee chair Kalyani Khadka and lawmaker Prabhu Sah were also included in the team.

The leaders visited the districts when the flood victims had been claiming that the government support to them was insufficient.
