Kathmandu, March 18
Minister for Water Supply and Sanitation, Bina Magar, on Tuesday led a delegation to the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperative and Poverty Alleviation, where she submitted a memorandum to the minister, Padma Kumari Aryal.
Magar, a House of Representatives member representing Kanchanpur district of far-western Nepal, led the delegation of elected people’s representatives in the district who demanded that the government solve remaining border disputes between Nepal and India at the earliest.
They complained that the disputes had been a trouble for the citizens of the district since a long ago.
In response, minister Aryal said the issue should be settled at the political leadership level. “The government employees only can’t do it,” she said.
