Micromax in 2B has been officially launched in Nepal as the brand’s first smartphone coming here after over a year.

Micromax in 2B is a budget smartphone from the company and is also the successor of Micromax in 1B launched almost two years ago. Though Micromax in 2B phone was launched almost a year back in India, the company has made it available in Nepal just recently.

The phone comes with enough RAM and internal storage for the price it is being offered. It also features a big display and a dual camera to capture photos and videos. Backed up by good battery power, it also boasts dual biometrics for safety. Similarly, the phone also has Stock android and a decent-performing processor.

Design and display

Micromax in 2B has a glass front, plastic back and a plastic frame build. The back panel features a rectangular camera module where the dual rear camera is housed together along with an LED flash. Moving to the middle part, there is a fingerprint sensor. An IN logo branding has been kept at the bottom. The sleek and shiny back panel of the phone has a textured finish that goes from top to bottom underneath the camera module.

The phone weighs around 190 grams and is 8.60mm in thickness. It is available in blue, green and black colour options.

On the front is a typical budget phone setting. It has a 6.52-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720*1,600 pixels and 269 PPI density. The display can reach a peak brightness of up to 400 nits.

Micromax in 2B has a dual-camera setup on the back with a single sensor on the front. The main 13MP Samsung 3L6 camera sensor on the back is accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor with an aperture of f/2.4. There is also an LED flash residing just below the camera sensors. The main sensor features 4X zoom, which the company claims can take decent photos with balanced details. On the front is a single 5MP camera sensor that resides inside the mini-drop notch. The front camera features beauty and bokeh modes.

The photography features on the phone include panorama, burst mode, time-lapse, night mode, slow motion, QR scanner mode and even pro mode.

For the video, both cameras on the front and the back can record videos in FHD (1080p) resolution.

Marketed as a no-hang phone, Micromax in 2B runs on Android 11. Since there is no custom skin included on the phone, the user will get a pure Android experience. Furthermore, the phone will also get two years of updates with frequent security patches. The phone is powered by Unisoc T610 (12nm) chipset while the graphical duties are handled by Mali-G52 MP2.

Micromax in 2B is available in 2 RAM options of 4GB and 6GB and is coupled with 64GB of internal storage. The storage can be further expanded with a microSD card, for which there is a dedicated slot on the phone.

Micromax in 2B features a massive 5,000mAh battery backup, and the company claims this power will last up to 30 days on standby. It also provides up to 160 hours of music playback, up to 15 hours of video streaming, up to 20 hours of web browsing and up to 50 hours of talk time. The battery on the phone can be charged with a 10W charger.

The phone supports dual sims along with dual VoLTE and dual wifi. The phone also has support for Vo-Wifi. Furthermore, the phone features Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless pairing while using a USB Type-C cable for charging and wired pairing. The phone features decent speakers while also having a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Micromax in 2B is priced at Rs 16,190 for the 4/64GB variant and Rs 18,990 for the 6/64GB variant.
