Kathmandu, September 8
The Prachanda-led government said on Thursday it will procure 100 big buses within six months to connect major cities of the country.
Addressing the Parliament on Thursday, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ said his government will purchase 100 buses to make the inter-city transport system more effective and efficient.
He said the government will operate these buses in cities like Kathmandu, Birgunj, Biratnagar, Ghorahi, Butwal and Pokhara. He said the government will operate these buses under municipalities concerned, adding that he is committed to ending the syndicate system in the transport sector.
