Kathmandu, March 23

The CPN-Maoist Centre is preparing to file at the Supreme Court an appeal for the review of its previous verdict that rejected the 2018 unification of the party with the CPN-UML into the Nepal Communist Party, by reviving the old constituents.

Central leaders of the party consulted lawyers close to the party on Tuesday, during which the advocates suggested the option of an appeal as the court made the decision that was not even demanded by the petitioner.

“We discussed what issues we should raise and when to file the review,” former attorney general Mukti Pradhan who attended the meeting says, “Maybe the party will make a decision about it.”
