The ruling CPN-Maoist Centre has donated Rs 3 million and 499,260 to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund for victims of recent floods and landslides.

Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal handed over the cheque to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba during a meeting at the PM’s official resident in Baluwatar today.

Earlier, the party had decided to donate one-month salary of its lawmakers for the victims. Accordingly, the party collected the amount and handed over the PM, says CPN-MC Parliamentary Party Deputy Leader Top Bahadur Rayamajhi.

Meanwhile, ministers representing the party will provide the support separately, according to party’s Chief Whip Rekha Sharma.
