Kathmandu, November 6
A man has been arrested in possession of Rs 4 million cash after he could not mention the source of the money when police interrogated him.
The arrestee has been identified as Byas Gupta, 40, a resident of Palhinandan rural municipality-2 of Nawalparasi.
A team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Sector in Naagdhunga arrested him at Naagdhunga, Chandragiri municipality-2 on Friday. He was travelling on a passenger bus (Lu 1 Kha 8652) heading to Kathmandu from Butwal.
He had hidden the cash in a bag and under his waist belt.
Police Inspector Hemanta Bikram Thapa says further investigation is underway.
