Kathmandu Kings XI suffer second defeat in a row

Kathmandu, December 20

Kathmandu Kings XI on Wednesday suffered a defeat from Bhairahawa Gladiators during their match under the Everest Premier League. It is Kings Xi’s second defeat in a row as they were defeated by Lalitpur Patriots in the opening match.

Sharad Vesawkar’s Gladiators defeated Farveez Maharoof’s team by seven wickets.

Gladiators met the 119-run target posted by Kings XI at the loss of three wickets in 16.2 overs. For them, Punit Bista contributed the highest of 42 runs not-out. Captain Vesawkar made 32 runs. Arif Shekh made 11 runs while playing 23 balls.

Kings XI’s Sompal Kami, Amar Singh Routela and Sushil Kandel took one wicket each.

In the first innings, Kings XI won the toss and elected to bat. They made 118 runs in 20 overs at the loss of eight wickets.

The victor team’s captain Vesawkar has been declared man of the match.
