Kathmandu, May 24
Karnali Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi has withdrawn eight police personnel deployed in his security to the Surkhet District Police Office.
Shahi says he made the decision as the DPO was suffering from the lack of sufficient security personnel to control coronavirus outbreak in the district.
“I know only two personnel have been deployed at a quarantine site. Therefore, I decided to return my bodyguards so that it would be easier for them to moblise the personnel.”
The returned personnel have started reporting to the DPO from yesterday.
