A radio programme, ‘Chief Minister with the People’, has been launched in Karnali Province with an objective of expediting development and promoting good governance in the Province, from Monday.
Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi is now able to reach out to around 1.5 million people through 42 FM radio stations in the Province.
Shahi, through this show, will directly take questions, complaints, suggestions and concerns of the people, said Dhruba Budhathoki, the Chief Minister’s press advisor.
Scores of people called in on the programme on the first day of and asked the Chief Minister questions on the construction of the national power transmission line and roads, and until when the youth employment would be ensured in the Province.
They had dropped questions through Facebook, Viber, SMSes, Skype and telephone too.
Chief Minister Shahi said the ‘Chief Minister with the People’ radio programme would support in the formulation of the upcoming development plan of the Karnali Province and promoting good governance.
