Jhapa, November 29
One person died whereas 23 others sustained injuries in a road accident in the Jhapa district of eastern Nepal on Sunday.
A bus (Na 5 Kha 8041) heading westwards along the East-West Highway had hit railings of a bridge after the driver lost control over the vehicle at Biring, Kankai municipality-8 of the district.
The victim has been identified as Utsav Paudel (16), a resident of Kankai-7, according to police.
Of the injured, 11 are undergoing treatment at the B & C Hospital and 12 others at the Birta City Hospital in Birtamod, the police inform.
Further investigation is underway.
