Ruling Nepal Communist Party leader Janardan Sharma has urged Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’, who leads an armed Maoist outfit banned by the government, to come to the talks table.

At a press meet in Tulsipur, Dang this morning, leader Sharma urged Biplav to join mainstream politics as achieving socialism would not be possible through an armed struggle.

Sharma, also the NCP standing committee member and former minister for home affairs, said the NCP was fully committed to implementing the constitution as it was an outcome of arduous struggle and devotion of Nepali people.

Sharma further noted, “As all works related to party merger have completed, the government and the party would concentrate their efforts to fulfill people’s aspirations and needs”.

The country would need bigger investments, he said, adding the government was seriously working to bring foreign investment in the country.
