Janakpurdham, December 15
A woman died after being hit by a bus in Janakpurdham in the Dhanusha district of southeastern Nepal on Friday.
The victim has been identified as Shail Kumari Devi, a resident of Parsa, Mahottari rural municipality-1 of the neighbouring Mahottari district.
The 70-year-old woman had travelled to Janakpur from Jaleshwar of Mahottari on a bus (Na 3 Kha 2610) and was hit by the same vehicle as soon as she got off the vehicle, according to DSP Jitendra Basnet, the Dhanusha District Police Office spokesperson.
Police have arrested the bus driver, Firoz Nadaf, for further investigation.
