Kathmandu, January 6
Nepal Communist Party (Mashal) has concluded that the Kalapani dispute with India should be internationalised.
Mashal General Secretary Mohan Bikram Singh, in his political report presented during the national convention of the party, said that the issue should be taken to the United Nations.
“India will try to keep its control over territories including Kalapani and it is clear that it will not withdraw its forces easily,” the report says. “That is why the government should take the issue to the United Nations,” he added. Singh said that the government should call for unity on the issue and then try to use diplomatic means to resolve the problem.
