The election for the Speaker of the House of Representatives has been scheduled for Chaitra 22.
According to Khushbu Oli, a lawmaker from the Rastriya Swatantra Party, the proposal was made during an all-party meeting held at Singha Durbar on Tuesday to hold the nomination registration on Chaitra 20.
“Nomination registration will take place the day after tomorrow. The election will be held on the 22nd, and the elected Speaker will assume office on the same day,” Oli said after the meeting.
