Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has said that preparations are underway to create a favorable environment for the upcoming election.
Speaking about preparations for the election scheduled for Falgun 21, Minister Aryal announced that joint patrols will be launched to ensure peace and security.
“To create a conducive environment for the election and guarantee peace and security, we will conduct joint patrols with security forces. During this process, we will also carry out operations to recover weapons,” Minister Aryal said.
He added that the same security forces will also work to recover weapons looted during the prisoners’ movement and the Janajati (indigenous) movement.
“Our analysis suggests that those weapons should not fall into the hands of organised groups. Political parties must declare that they will not use such weapons recovered from the prisoners,” Aryal said.
