Govt to make new decision about staff recruitment once PM comes back, says Dahal

Pushpa Kamal Dahal

Kathmandu, June 12

Ruling Nepal Communist Party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal says the government will make a fresh decision about staff recruitment for the local governments once Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will be back from his ongoing Europe trip.

Acting on the government’s request, the Public Service Commission had already began collecting applications for around 10,000 vacant positions. But, the process has been pushed into limbo as the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee in Parliament directed the Commission to cancel the process and let local units contract the required human resources on their own.

Speaking with journalists in his home district Chitwan today, Dahal said, “We will discuss the issue once the PM will be back and reach a positive conclusion.”

In another context, Dahal admitted that the government failed to make sufficient preparations while drafting various bills and it led to protests in different walks of life.

“But, the government and the party are aware now and we will do sufficient preparations in the upcoming days.”
