Kathmandu, February 25
The government has ordered three medicine factories to withdraw their products from the market immediately citing they were substandard.
The Department of Drug Administration has told the Gorkhanath Herbacuticals Pvt Ltd to withdraw its 100-gram packages of Abhipattikar Churna, Bhaskar Herbacuticals Pvt Ltd to withdraw its 100-gram Lacofit Boil Regulator and Aarogya Bhawan Works Pvt Ltd to withdraw Aarogya Balbel Churna 100-gram. The companies have also been barred from distributing the said products in the market.
During a recent market monitoring, the department had found the drugs suspicious and collected their samples for a lab test. In the test, it was found that the drugs were substandard.
The department has urged the concerned not to use or prescribe these medicines.
