Govt invites civil servants to choose work stations in provinces, local bodies

Kathmandu, December 26

The government has issued a call for application for civil servants working for federal entities that have been transferred to the the ambit of provinces and local bodies.

The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration says that civil servants can choose their duty stations by filling up an application form. The government shall take the application into consideration when transfer orders are issued. However, those staffers who do not fill the form can be transferred anywhere.

The federal government has also approved the number of civil servants working for different levels of government. A total of 47,920 staffers will work for the federal government, 22,755 for the provinces and 67,503 for the local governments.
