Kathmandu, August 14
The government of Nepal has told companies from the private sector to submit their proposals about various events and programmes that they would like to organise under the Visit Nepal 2020 campaign.
The Visit Nepal 2020 Secretariat issued a notice and said it was ready to cooperate with the private sector in the initiatives that contribute to the success of the mega campaign.
The private sector could host various conferences and meetings, interactions, exhibitions, festivals and cultural events, the secretariat suggested, adding it would also welcome the proposals about promoting the branding of the campaign at the international level.
The companies have been asked to clarify how their programmes would contribute to the campaign and how much they would like to spend.
Recently, some stakeholders had criticised the government for failing to incorporate the private sector in the ambitious campaign.
