Kathmandu, September 8
The German federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety is funding the ‘Waste and Climate Change’ project to be implemented in Nepal from September 2017 to 2021.
The UN Environment and Leadership for Environment and Development Nepal (LEAD Nepal) will implement the project which will aim at reduce emission of greenhouse gases and short-lived climate pollutants, increase the mitigate capacity of stakeholders, and strengthen capacity of policymakers and waste sector practitioners.
Germany had announced the fund in April this year, according to LEAD Nepal.
