The Anmol KC-Shristi Shrestha starrer film Gajalu was recently shown to a select member of the audience in London.
The premiere was attended by actors Shristi Shrestha and Prashant Tamrakar. Producer Rohit Adhikari also attended the event.
However, KC, who is seen opposite debutant Shrestha in the movie, did not attend the premiere. KC’s non-attendance raised questions as the star had left London just days before the premiere of Gajalu was being held.
Nonetheless, the movie was well received by the audience which mainly consisted of Nepalis living in the UK, says producer Adhikari. “The audience appreciated the movie’s storyline, presentation and the cast’s acting,” says Adhikari.
Gajalu is a love story between a young man and a former Kumari, also called the living goddess. The movie is directed by Hemraj BC and will release nationwide on June 10.
