Kathmandu, November 5
The Election Commission says it will distribute election symbols to candidates contesting under the first-past-the-post system in the second phase of provincial and federal parliamentary elections scheduled for December 7.
Before that, the Commission will make publish the final list of candidates today itself.
Earlier on Thursday, the candidates had registered their nominations. The Commission had allowed members of the public to file complaints against them on Friday. Based on the complaints, the Commission had scrapped some nominations yesterday.
Meanwhile, the Commission says the candidates wishing to withdraw their names can do so by 1 pm today.
