Kathmandu, May 2
Former lawmaker Sunil Prajapati has filed his candidacy for the Mayor of Bhaktapur Municipality on Tuesday.
Nepal Workers and Peasants Party leader Prajapati said he decided to contest for the mayoral position after the party directed him.
“I am a cadre of the party. The party told me to run for Parliament and I followed it earlier. Now, it decided me to field for Mayor and I will follow it.”
He is also the Central Secretary of the party.
