Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal is scheduled to travel to Serbia on August 30.
He will visit Serbia to attend the High-Level Commemorative Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), which will be held in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia.
A three-member Nepali delegation led by Foreign Minister Khanal will participate in the commemorative meeting, scheduled to take place in Belgrade on August 31 and September 1.
A Cabinet meeting held on August 11 decided that Nepal would participate in the meeting.
The first summit of the Non-Aligned Movement was held in Belgrade in 1961. The high-level commemorative meeting is being organized in Belgrade this year to mark the 65th anniversary of the first summit.
World leaders, delegations from various countries, and representatives of member states of the Non-Aligned Movement are expected to attend the event.
Nepal has adopted the principle of non-alignment as one of the fundamental pillars of its foreign policy.
Foreign Minister Khanal is scheduled to return to Nepal from Serbia on September 2.
