Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal held a meeting with Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar in New York on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
During the meeting, Khanal thanked the Indian government and people for their solidarity and immediate support following the devastating floods in Nepal.
The two ministers exchanged views on various aspects of Nepal-India relations and matters of mutual interest.
They also emphasised the need to further strengthen the close and friendly ties between Nepal and India and advance bilateral cooperation.
