Kathmandu, November 2
British Ambassador to Nepal Rob Fenn has paid a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal.
The meeting took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at Singha Durbar. According to the minister’s secretariat, they discussed Nepal-UK bilateral relations and a range of issues of mutual interest.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed cooperation on climate change, climate finance, resilient economic development and the 31st Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP31), among other topics.
They also discussed enhancing cooperation between the two countries in areas of mutual interest, including the issue of pensions for Gurkha soldiers.
