Kathmandu, May 9

The umbrella organisation of Nepali private businesses, the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, has launched an initiative that it claims would connect Covid-19 patients isolating themselves at home with doctors.

The federation announced the launch of the FNCCI Operation Covid Relief Nepal in partnership with Viber.

A part of the initiative, Hello Doctor, would directly connect the patients and the doctors on a video call. Initially, five doctors are connected to the team.

Those willing to take service from this initiative need to send a text to the Viber number 2111121111 between 9 am and 12 pm and between 3 pm and 6 pm to register their names. In response, the initiative will finalise an appointment with the doctor and arrange a video call.

In the text for appointment, the patient needs to give his/her name, age, and address.

The service is free of cost and available across Nepal.
