Five people have been injured in Bhedaha, Saptari on Wednesday after they were attacked by a clouded leopard.
Saptari Police confirmed that the leopard attacked the locals on Wednesday morning injuring 60-year-old Rajwati Devi Chaudhary, 37-year-old Bharat Chaudhary, Hirananda Chaudhary, Mahawati Chaudhari and Satya Narayan Chaudhary.
According to Rajbiraj District Police Office, Rajwati Devi is being treated at a local hospital while the others have been taken to Biratnagar for further treatment.
- The injured leopard was taken under control by rangers from Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve and local police who have taken it to the wildlife reserve for treatment.
