First meeting of Nepal-Israel Consultation Mechanism held in Kathmandu

 

Kathmandu, March 20

The first meeting of the Bilateral Consultation Mechanism between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel was held in Kathmandu on Monday.

Matters of bilateral relations and mutual interest between Nepal and the State of Israel were discussed on that occasion, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The meeting reviewed the current status of bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, technology and culture between the two countries and discussed ways to further develop the cooperative relations and partnership in the days to come.

The Israeli side was led by Deputy Director-General for Asia and Pacific Division Gilad Cohen, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel and the Nepali side was led by Joint Secretary, Central Asia, West Asia and Africa Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal Durga Prasad Bhandari.

Ambassador of Israel in Nepal Benny Omer was also present during the meeting as a member of the Israeli Delegation, adds the Ministry.
