Kathmandu, June 2

The Meteorological Forecasting Division has forecasts light to moderate thunderstorms throughout the country for the next few days.

According to the division, winds carrying moisture from the Bay of Bengal have entered Nepal via the eastern region, and they are bringing in clouds.

Min Kumar Aryal of the division said that eastern Terai would be affected the most by the rainfall along with some hilly areas of central Nepal. He added that western Nepal would not be affected by the current change in weather.

Officials at the division say that the rain is part of the pre-monsoon and that monsoon would only start in the second week of June.
