Results of the Employment Permit System-Test of Proficiency in Korean (EPS-TOPIK) have been announced on Tuesday.

According to the results, as many as 12,108 candidates have passed the test required to obtain work permit in South Korea.

Of them, around 7,500 had applied in the Agriculture and Farming of Animals stream.

Chief of the EPS Koirea section under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Baburam Khadka, says more than 68,000 had taken the examination in June.

Meanwhile, the government has said it cannot guarantee that all successful candidates can go to Korea and get job. The passed ones will be listed in a roster and sent for labour contract.

The Korean government has fixed the job quote for Nepal as 10,200 for the year 2018. That means, out of the passed ones, only 10,200 at a maximum will be able to fly to Korea for jobs next year.
