Kathmandu, October 16
The Dhanusha District Court on Wednesday remanded House of Representatives member Pramod Sah in custody for four days so that police could investigate into his alleged involvement in vandalism at Janakpur airport in the district on Monday.
The Rastriya Janata Party Nepal leader was arrested from Kathmandu on Tuesday after Buddha Air complained that he vandalised its counter at Janakpur airport accusing the company of delaying the flight.
Police presented Sah before the court today, seeking the remand for 10 days, but the court only gave them four days to conclude the investigation.
Speaking with journalists on the airport premises briefly, Sah said he would accept the court’s decision over the issue, but the citizens would evaluate the decision later.
Meanwhile, RJPN cadres staged protests in Birgunj and Janakpur demanding Sah’s release.
