Dhangadhi, August 17
Five persons died whereas four others have sustained injuries in a road accident in the Darchula district of northwestern Nepal on Wednesday.
An SUV (Se 1 Ja 551) heading towards the district headquarters, Khalanga, from Gokuleshwar fell off the road, at Ullani, Shailyashikhar municipality-6 of the district, DSP Jitendra Kumar Pal, the acting chief of the Sudurpaschim Provincial Police Office says.
Four men and one woman, yet to be identified, died on the spot.
The injured have been rescued and sent to Gokuleshwar for further treatment.
The vehicle had fallen around 500 metres down the road.
