Kathmandu, May 17
The Department of Customs has set up a quick response team to ensure the smooth supply of essentials including medical equipment.
The department head Yam Lal Bhusal says the team has been set up in response to the surge in the Covid-19 cases in the country and resultant lockdowns and prohibitory orders in various districts.
Bhusal shared the information during a virtual meeting hosted by the department today.
Speaking in the meeting, Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel directed the department to ensure liquid oxygen, oxygen cylinders, oxygen plant and other accessories without any hassle.
He also reminded the officials to fully adhere to the health protocols.
Finance Secretary Shishir Kumar Dhungana and Revenue Secretary Ram Sharan Pudasaini also spoke during the meeting.
