Kathmandu, January 19
A couple have been found dead in Lubhu on the outskirts of Lalitpur in the Kathmandu valley on Monday.
The deceased have been identified as Sagar Pokharel, 32, a permanent resident of Rajbiraj in Saptari district, and his wife, Nirmala, 22. They had rented a flat in the house of local Ramesh Khadka in Lubhu.
SSP Kiran Bajracharya of the Metropolitan Police Range in Lalitpur says the main gate of their flat was locked from inside when their bodies were found. Likewise, a poison was also found nearby. Therefore, police have suspected it was a suicide case.
The couple were married just five months ago. The husband would work as a veterinary material supplier.
The man’s parents would live with them, but they had gone to their daughter’s house in Balkot of Bhaktapur when the incident occurred.
After the parents could not contact their son and daughter-in-law, they had returned to the house to find both dead on Monday morning.
Police are looking into the case.
Recently, a similar incident was reported in Tokha of Kathmandu also.
