The main opposition party, Nepali Congress, has expressed concerned over the recent slump in the share market for the past few days.
The party has also drawn the attention of the government towards it, saying the Left Alliance had promised a 10 per cent economic growth rate while forming the government.
At a meeting of the party’s CWC, NC central member Bhishmaraj Aangdambe argued that the continuous fall of share value in the market was a matter of concern at a time when a favourable political environment had been built after holding local, provincial and federal parliamentary elections.
In today’s election review meeting, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, Ramesh Rijal, Aangdambe and Mahendra Yadav expressed their views, said NC Spokesperson, Bishwa Prakash Sharma.
A total of 38 CC members have put forth their views till today in the meeting that began on March 23.
The meeting will resume place at 11:00 am on Friday.
