Kathmandu, March 3
Kathmandu Sport Climbing Center is hosting the Musa Masala and Wongchhu Peak Open Lead Climbing Championship 2024 on March 9.
The event is authorised by the Nepal Climbing Sport Association (NCSA) with technical support from the Nepal National Mountain Guide Association (NNMGA) and aims to promote sport climbing in Nepal and boost adventure tourism.
The climbing championship will follow the International Federation of Sport Climbing rules and is open to athletes 14 years old and above.
Sujit Kandel from Kathmandu Sport Climbing Center expects around 50 male and female athletes.
The competition will start at around 8 am with the qualification rounds between 8.30 am and 12 pm and the finals from 2 pm to 6 pm.
Winners will receive to receive cash prizes, medals, certificates, and sponsor prizes.
