Kathmandu, August 4
One person died and another got injured when a Scorpio jeep hit a motorbike in Banepa of Kavrepalanchok district on Sunday morning.
The victim has been identified as Rabin Thapa, 21, a permanent resident of Kotthumka, Banepa-12, according to the District Police Office. Seriously injured in the accident, the rider of the bike (Ba 57 Pa 9469) had breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Scheer Memorial Hospital.
His bike heading towards Sanga from Banepa was hit by the jeep (Ba 1 Cha 8112) heading towards the opposite direction.
Meanwhile, Sabin Thapa, 26, who was riding pillion on the bike, got injured in the accident.
Police have arrested the jeep driver for further investigation.
