Kathmandu, January 17
Police say they have arrested three persons from Tathali, Changunarayan Municipality of Bhaktapur district on Wednesday after a local clay trader was found dead in the wee hours.
The Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur says 55-year-old Sitaram Sainju was found dead in local Brahmayani at around 5 am today. The body was prone when found.
DSP Krishna Prasain says police arrested three persons in connection with the case after a preliminary investigation found that he was stoned to death.
Police say a spat under the influence of alcohol might have led to the murder.
The body has been sent to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for autopsy.
Further investigation is underway.
