Kathmandu, January 17

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal says it has given permission for paragliding in two new destinations. Both the new destinations are quite close to Kathmandu–Suryachaur Shivapuri of Nuwakot and Tistung of Makawanpur.

The authority says Nepal Paragliding Pvt Ltd has been allowed to fly paragliders up to 6,500 metres in Nuwakot. Likewise, Tistung Paragliding Pvt Ltd can fly paragliders up to 5,000 metres in Tistung. The companies can begin their operation after February 27 only.

A few years ago, the adventurous tourism activity was available in Pokhara only. Of late, it is expanding across the country.
